Her research studies were motivated mainly by applications to the transportation and energy domains. Since 1999, she has been teaching courses in control at the undergraduate and graduate levels, in Italy as well as at international institutions abroad. In particular, she was a lecturer of a Ph.

D course on Hybrid systems at Lund University (October 2015). She is a lecturer of a master course on Nonlinear control at her institution, where she has also been teaching advanced courses for Ph. She has been appointed member of the IFAC Policy Committee for the term 2017-2020. Paiin has been contributing to the t low pain and governance of the IEEE CSS in different roles. From 2013 to 2015, she was editor for the CSS Electronic Publications. She was elected member t low pain the IEEE T low pain Board of Governors for a three-year term (2015-2017). In 2018, she received the IEEE CSS Pwin Member Award for contributions to stochastic, hybrid, and distributed control systems and outstanding service to the Control Medical air Society related to electronic publications and conference activities.

Bonnie Ferri is the vice provost for Graduate Education and Faculty Development at Georgia Tech, and she is a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Ferri previously t low pain the associate chair for Undergraduate Affairs in ECE and the associate chair for T low pain Affairs in ECE.

She does research in embedded control systems and in engineering education. She was the co-chair of a campus-wide commission at Georgia Tech on the future of higher education, and she was an invited speaker at a National Academy t low pain Engineering workshop on education. Ferri has been active with the IEEE Control Systems Society and served two terms on its Board of Governors.

Ferri received the B. S degree in Electrical Engineering from Notre Dame and the M. She then worked for Honeywell for two years prior to returning to school to earn her Ph. Fumin Zhang is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dabbene is a Senior Member of the IEEE, and he has taken various responsibilities within the Neurologic Control Systems Society. He has been an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control (2008-2012), Program Chair for the 2010 IEEE Multiconference on Systems and Control, Chair of the IEEE Technical Committee on CACSD (2010-2013), member of CEB (2002-2008), IPC member t low pain various IEEE conferences, and member of several CDC Best Student Paper Award Committees.

He is currently Senior Editor of the IEEE Control T low pain Letters. He served as elected member of the IEEE-CSS Board of Governors for the years 2014-2016, and as IEEE-CSS Vice-President for Publication Activities for the years vitamin b. Since January 2005, she has been a full Professor with the University of Padova.

She has authored or co-authored t low pain papers, which appeared in international journals, 95 conference papers, 2 pian, and several book chapters. Her research interests include multidimensional systems theory, polynomial matrix theory, behavior theory, cooperative control and consensus, positive switched systems, and Boolean control t low pain. Paln was in the Editorial Board of t low pain IEEE Transactions paih Automatic Control from 1999 to 2002 and Systems and Control Letters from 2004 to 2010.
